My Life Before Islam

Upbringing in Armenia: Muhammad grew up in Armenia, a former Soviet republic located between Asia and Europe. In that environment, his perception of Islam was distorted and seen as extremely difficult.
View of Islam: He believed Islam was a strange and complex religion. Embracing Islam in Armenia was considered unusual or "odd" due to long-standing historical and political conflicts in the region.
Scientific Pursuits: As a medical student, Muhammad was focused on empirical sciences. He had no clear religious inclinations; his primary focus was his studies and his future career as a physician.

The Impact of Surah Al-Asr: His journey began when he came across a translation of the meanings of the Quran. He paused for a long time at Surah Al-Asr, moved by the idea that humanity is in a state of loss except for those who believe, do righteous deeds, and encourage one another toward truth and patience.
Fascination with Ruqyah: As a medical student, he was intrigued by the spiritual and physical effects of Ruqyah (Quranic healing), which led him to reconsider the relationship between science and spirituality.
Reflecting on Creation: He was deeply affected by verses in Surah Al-Mulk regarding the creation of hearing, sight, and intellect. He felt that denying the Creator contradicted the incredible precision of the human body he was studying.
The Testimony (Shahada): After a period of research and reflection on the truth of Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ message, he decided to take his Shahada, describing that moment as the start of a true happiness he had never tasted before.

Prophetic Medicine: Muhammad dedicated his medical knowledge to Prophetic Medicine (Tibb al-Nabawi). He began studying authentic Hadiths related to healing, such as the use of black seed, and integrated them with his academic study of modern medicine.
The Quran as a User Manual: Muhammad views the human being as a complex machine. He believes it is only logical to follow the "Manufacturer's" instructions (from Allah) found in the Quran to lead a healthy and balanced life.
Character as Silent Dawah: Muhammad is known for his excellent character and kind treatment of others. He believes that Islam refined his morals, making him a better person in his interactions with patients and society.
The Outreach Mission: He accepted the challenge of establishing a Russian-language website to spread the knowledge of Prophetic Medicine, aiming to introduce Russian speakers in Armenia and the former Soviet Union to the reality of Islam through a scientific approach.
