My Life Before Islam

She went to a mosque in Stockholm and took her Shahada in front of a large crowd, feeling an overwhelming sense of relief and uncontrollable tears.
The Verse from Surah Ali 'Imran: Madeline was deeply moved by verse 186 of Surah Ali 'Imran: "You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination." She felt as if Allah was speaking directly to her, preparing her for the challenges ahead.
Reflections
Steadfastness in Hijab: It took her about six months to decide to wear the Hijab. Once she did, she faced a fierce wave of racism in Swedish society, yet she held onto it as a core part of her identity and faith.
Trials and Assaults: Madeline faced severe physical assaults because of her Hijab. The first time, an attacker slammed her head against her car until she lost consciousness. The second time, while seven months pregnant, she was beaten and kicked by three men. Despite these horrors, her faith remained unshaken.
