My Life Before Islam

Interest in Religions: Kaim began his journey by attending a school for religious studies. He was particularly interested in Abrahamic religions, though he initially knew almost nothing about Islam.
Illness and Transformation: Before converting, he suffered from a serious illness that prompted him to re-evaluate his life and purpose, leading him to seek a deeper meaning for existence and the power governing the universe.
Traveling for Answers: He traveled to Muslim countries to experience the reality of the faith firsthand, searching for the spiritual security he felt was missing in his life in Japan.

The Impact of "Kitab al-Tawhid": He was deeply moved by reading a book on Tawhid (Monotheism) in Japanese. The concept of God's oneness and greatness touched his heart, and he began to realize that Islam is a complete way of life rather than just rituals.
The "Jugular Vein" Verse: He was profoundly affected by the verse from Surah Qaf: "And We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein." He felt the awe of God's closeness and His knowledge of the soul's whispers, providing him with a simultaneous sense of security and reverence.
Taking Shahada at Al-Azhar: Kaim decided to embrace Islam and took his Shahada (testimony of faith) at the Al-Azhar Mosque in Egypt. He described that moment as a rebirth and an indescribable feeling of peace.

Islam as a Way of Life: Kaim believes that Islam is not merely about abstaining from forbidden things like alcohol and pork, but a comprehensive system regulating a person's relationship with their Creator and society.
Authorship and Outreach: Just two years after his conversion, he authored a book titled "How to Live in Japan According to the Essence of Islam," aiming to guide Japanese people in understanding the core of the religion.
A Muslim Family: He married a Muslim woman from Indonesia to lead a stable life based on Islamic principles, and he is dedicated to spreading Islamic culture within Japanese society.
Knowledge and Action: He emphasizes that knowledge without action is useless. Therefore, he dedicates his time to translation and writing to bridge the information gap regarding Islam in Japan.
